To provide the ideal outdoor environment and a unique opportunity for children to learn valuable skills and make new friends through programs that are challenging, educational, and fun. We believe camp provides an opportunity for personal growth, increased self-esteem and friendship building. We hope to create a space for young people to learn how to work as a group while gaining confidence in their unique abilities as individuals.

Summer Daycamp Frequently Asked Questions
Saratoga Springs is a wonderful place to spend your summer! The outdoor environment allows children to experience a new setting through hiking, swimming and creek walking in the redwoods. Our fantastic day camp program and exciting, fun activities are deliberately designed to provide an educational situation where children can learn invaluable social and individual skills beyond those learned in the school classroom. Saratoga Springs is conveniently located just 2 miles west of downtown Saratoga.
We would like to encourage you to have your child wear their Springs t-shirt everyday as it makes it much easier for our counselors to recognize the children in our day camp. One t-shirt is given to you on the first day of camp and additional shirts are available for purchase.
Certainly. Simply fill out the section of the registration form labeled “buddy request.” Your child may have more than one friend attending camp, but Saratoga Springs can only guarantee that campers be placed together in pairs. If this is a really important issue to your son or daughter, talk to the camp director in advance about making an exception.
Children are grouped with children of their own age. If you would like to be in the same group as a friend, just ask.
Campers need to be prepared to play outside. They should wear (or bring) sturdy shoes to get wet in the creek. They should bring sunscreen, a bathing suit, a towel and lunch every day. Please be sure your child’s name is on everything he or she brings to camp. We recommend that no clothing or objects of value be brought to camp as we cannot be responsible for misplaced items.
We welcome all children who are at least five and no more than 12 years of age before his or her first day of summer camp. Campers must be able to function in a group setting with a ratio of one adult to twelve children. Five year old children will be grouped in a one to eight ratio. If your child needs special accommodations please contact the day camp director, Muggy, at 408-867-1591 ext 63 before registering your child.
Our counselors are interviewed and carefully selected. They all have experience working with children in some type of environment. All our counselors are over 18 years of age. They are all certified in CPR and First Aid. We have a Certified Lifeguard on duty at all times during swim hours.
If cancelling 25 days or more prior to the first day of camp a $100 weekly fee will not be refunded but the remaining balance paid will be. If canceling 24 or less days prior to the first day of camp the entire camp fee will be forfeited. No shows will also forfeit their entire camp fee. If a camper needs to cancel, substitution of a sibling or friend, or switching weeks will be accepted as long as the cancellation notice is received 25 or more days prior to the first day of camp.
